A Time For Everything

Well hello there--it's been forever!! Many days have passed since my last blog, with many things jammed into every minute of those days. Life is so full and fun and stressful and overwhelming, bringing loads of joy and difficulties all at the same time. Some days, I'm convinced we should have four children, while other days I fall into bed late at night wondering how I'm going to successfully take care of these wonderful two that I have!

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven." Well, my friends, I'm afraid that now is simply not the time or the season for blogging. I have fought against this, because if you know me at all, you know how much I long to write. But rather than attempt to arm-wrestle with the realities of this beautiful season of life, I'm choosing to embrace it whole-heartedly . . . so this understandably translates into way less time for blogs, social media, etc.

I've spent a lot of time thinking about my use of Facebook and critically examining the amount of time and energy I'm exerting on such things. I already had the subtle, nagging thought that I could cut way back and be much better off, and a point from my pastor's message this past Sunday regarding how we as Americans spend our time really brought the point home. As busy as I am most days, I still find myself wasting precious, valuable time; time that could be spent in more productive ways right now.

Please don't misunderstand, I am not in any way, shape or form saying that social media, t.v., other entertainment, etc., is inherently bad. I love reading blogs, writing blogs, scrolling Facebook, etc. etc., but as Ecclesiastes says, everything has its season. Currently, I feel the LORD leading me to turn towards other things. There is a lot He is teaching me and desires to teach me. I have so much more to learn before I'll ever be in a position to write.

So, that was all a long way of saying, don't expect any action here on this blog for now! I fully believe there will come a time when blogging, writing, etc. will be "in season," but for now, my hands are gratefully, gloriously, beautifully full with the blessings for which I prayed long and hard! For those of you who have been reading, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your positive and encouraging feedback. It means a lot! In the words of Arnold, I'll be back . . . For now, I'm going to focus on keeping my head above water and being the best mom I can be to my two "bosses" :-).

And speaking of, I'll leave you with a few pictures of said bosses. They keep me on my toes and bring me an unspeakable amount of joy as they grow and develop. How incredibly thankful I am that God chose me to be their mother! I sure hope they'll think the same one day ;-).

Blessings,

~Mere
